18 killed, as Landmine hits a Bus in Pakistan's Mohmand Tribal Region
Islamabad: Breaking News! At least 18 people were killed, as a powerful landmine hit a passenger bus in Pakistan's Mohmand tribal region this afternoon. The landmine blast was reportedly targeted at the security personnel, but innocent civilians became the victims of terrorism. The dead included 12 women and 4 children.
At least six more people suffered critical injuries. They were shifted to a hospital in Mohmand Agency's headquarters. The incident occurred in Lakaro sub-division of Mohmand Agency, where the security forces are carrying out operations against the militants.
According to Geo TV, the bus was carrying a group of people on their way to attend a wedding. Security forces have reached the spot.
This is the third terror attack in Pakistan today. At least 7 people were killed in a suicide blast near Kamra Aeronautical Complex, 50km from Islamabad. Another car bomb exploded outside a restaurant in Peshawar, injuring at least 8 people.
