China objects to Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh

Beijing: China yet again played dirty game, by raking up the Arunachal issue on the day when assembly elections are being held in the state. China strongly objected to Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh on October 3 on an election campaign.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said that China is strongly dissatisfied with Prime Minister's visit to the "disputed region (Arunachal)", disregarding China's concerns.

The outrageous statement made by China also demanded that India address China's serious concerns over the "disputed region" Arunchal Pradesh. China also issued a veiled threat to India not to trigger disturbances in the region.

The Chinese Spokesperson also said that both countries never resolved their border disputes and that must be addressed immediately to facilitate the Indo-China relations. China has been claiming that Arunachal Pradesh remains a part of its territory.
