Delhi Government hikes DTC Bus Fare
New Delhi: Breaking News! The Delhi Government has hiked the DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) fare with effect from today. The minimum fare will be Rs 5, while the maximum fare will be Rs 15. The tickets, which were of Rs 3 and Rs 5 will now cost Rs 5 and Rs 10 respectively. The Rs 10 ticket will now cost Rs 15. The DTC student bus pass will cost Rs 100.
The distance covered on Rs 5 wicket will be up to 4 km, while the distance covered on Rs 10 ticket will be between 4-8. All tickets above 8km distance will cost Rs 15.
There will be no hike in the fares of Autos and Taxis. The Delhi Government has also decided that all blueline buses will be taken off the road by April 2010. There will be no hike in fares for the blueline buses. The decision was taken at the Cabinet Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

pehle hum dtc ka wait karte the ab blueline ka wait karenge :)
wakt tha, kiraya badhane ke liye private bus wale hartal karete the, Shilla Dixit ji bar bar kiraya badhne se private bus wale hartal karna hi kabse chod diye.

i think government should take
re-decision on ticket
make Rs3---- into Rs5
make Rs10--- into Rs12 or Rs 15
remaining should be same..
otherwise people will suffer..

Delhi Gov. Should not Approved to DTC fare hiked. after hiking bus fare Delhi People are totally effected.Where they paid Rs.5 now Rs.10, where 10 now 15, and where 3 now 5 and also reduced the slab.
i think Delhi Gov. must once again think about hiking Fare Price.
it should not be like this for the students there should be some relaxations for the students how could they manage in such inflationary conditionsssss
