7th ODI between India and Australia called off, Aussies win Series 4-2
Mumbai: Breaking News! Heavy rain and bad weather played a spoilsport in the seventh ODI between India and Australia in Mumbai. The match was called off after a final inspection by the umpires. Australia won the series 4-2. The 55,000-capacity strong DY Patil Stadium, which was scheduled to host its fist ODI match, proved to be unlucky.
India, which had taken a 2-1 lead in the series, later allowed the injury-stricken Australian team to bounce back by showing reckless performance. Australia won the remaining three ODI matches to take the series 4-2. Shane Watson was declared "Man of the Series".
