Amol Muzumdar becomes Highest run-getter in Ranji Trophy Cricket

Mumbai: Breaking News! Mumbai's Amol Muzumdar, who is playing for Assam now, became the highest run-getter in Ranji Trophy cricket. He surpassed Amarjit Kaypee's record of 7,623 runs. Muzumdar achieved the feat against Rajasthan at the North-East Frontier Railway Stadium in Guwahati. However, he could not prevent his team from slumping to a 95-run defeat.

Amol Muzumdar has been a regular feature for Mumbai since he started his Ranji career. However, Mumbai did not pick him up for the 2009-10 season. Thus, he moved to Assam. Amol made 22 and 25 in both innings. The 34-year-old batsman has now scored 7640 runs in Ranji Trophy.
