Ashok Chavan sworn-in as Chief Minister of Maharashtra
Mumbai: Breaking News! Senior Congress leader Ashok Chavan has been sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the second time. NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal was sworn-in as the Deputy Chief Minister. Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir administered the oath of office and secrecy to Ashok Chavan, Chhagan Bhujbal and 36 other Ministers.
18 Minis
ters from the Congress, including CM Ashok Chavan took the oath, while 20 Ministers from the NCP took the oath today. The remaining seven Ministerial berths will go the Congress.Former Minister Narayan Rane, R R Patil, Anil Deshmukh and Rajendra Darda were sworn-in as Cabinet Ministers. NCP leader and Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar also took the oath as a Minister.
Other prominent MLAs, who took the oath as Ministers, were Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Jaidutt Kshirsagar, Naseem Khan, Suresh Shetty, Ranjit Kamble, Hasan Mushrif, Patangrao Kadam, Shivajirao Moghe, Nitin Raut, Jayant Patil, Ganesh Naik, Ramraje Nimbalkar, Abdul Satar, Fauzia Khan and Varsha Gaekwad.
