Australia wins Guwahati ODI, takes invincible 4-2 lead in Series

Guwahati: Breaking News! Australia beat India by 6 wickets in the sixth ODI in Guwahati to take an invincible 4-2 lead in the series. With this series win against India, Australia put the No.1 debate into end. Without their seven regular players, the Kangaroos proved that they are the best in the world, when they showed Team India their place.

Chasing a modest target of 171, Australia were never in danger of losing the match. They reached the target in 41.5 overs. Shane Watson was the top scorer with 49, while Mike Hussey remained unbeaten on 35. Ponting and White made 25 runs each. Adam Voges remained unbeaten on 23. For India, Harbhajan took 2 wickets. Bollinger, who took 5 wickets in this match, was declared "Man of the Match".

Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni tried 9 bowlers in this match. Only he and Gambhir did not bowl. Perhaps, Dhoni forgot that he had two emerging bowlers Amit Mishra and Sudeep Tyagi, who should have played in place of expensive Munaf Patel and Ashish Nehra.
