Chief Justice of India and Supreme Court Judges declare Assets
New Delhi: Breaking News! The Chief Justice of India, K G Balakrishnan and other judges declared their assets on the Supreme Court website http://supremecourtofindia.nic.in . All their details were put up on the official website. CJI K.G. Balakrishnan owns a Santro Car of 200 model, 20 gold sovereigns, and a 444-square-yard plot in Faridabad valued at Rs 4.5 lakh. He has no fixed deposit or investment in shares and bonds.

e SH Kapadia, who is the senior-most judge after CJI Balakrishnan, owns Rs 22 lakh in shares, mutual funds, fixed deposits and PF. He has total assets worth Rs 40 lakh. Justice Tarun Chatterjee owns one building in Kolkata and a two-third share in ancestral property. He has outstanding liabilities of Rs 7.5 lakh. He owns two cars - a Chevrolet Tavera and a Honda Civic.Justice Altamas Kabir owns a house in Kolkata’s Salt Lake worth Rs 30.75 lakh. He has also declared other assets worth Rs 43.97 lakh. Justice R V Raveendran owns four residential and an office plot in Bangalore. His wife has one-fifth share in three commercial properties in Bangalore. She also owns owns 370 grams of gold jewellery, besides 12 carats of diamonds and five kilos of silver.
