Ganguly re-appointed Captain of KKR, Dave Whatmore becomes Coach

Kolkata: Breaking News! The beleaguered Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) IPL team, which performed badly in IPL 1 and IPL 2, has got a new loook. Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has been re-appointed as the captain of KKR, while former Australian and Sri Lankan coach Dav Whatmore has been appointed as the Coach.

Dav Whatmore recent quit as the Director of Operations at National Cricket Academy in Bangalore to take up the KKR job. KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan had sacked John Buchanan as the coach after the team's dismal performance in IPL 2.

Sourav Ganguly and Dave Whatmore have expressed confidence that they will work together to see the team to the highest level in IPL 3. Vijay Dahiya has been appointed as Assistant Coach and Wasim Akram as Mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders. Andrew Leipus and Adrian le Roux have been appointed Physiotherapist and Team Trainer respectively.
