Global Swine Flu Death Toll passes 6,000, 199 Countries Affected
New Delhi: Breaking News! Over 370 people died of Swine Flu last week, taking the global Swine Flu death toll to 6,000. The World Health Organisation (WHO) confirmed that the Swine Flu casualties have passed the 6,000 mark. More than 199 countries and regions are affected by the pandemic so far.
According to WHO, the Swine Flu death toll across the world has reached 6,071 on November 1, 2009. Most of the deaths were reported from Central America and Latin America. The account for 4,399 deaths.
While Swine Flu has receded in the Americas, situation is still alarming in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Mongolia, Oman, Afghanistan, India and Japan.
