Guwahati ODI: India set a Victory Target of 171 for Australia

Guwahati: Breaking News! India set a modest victory target of 171 for Australia in the 6th ODI in Guwahati. Ravindra Jadeja and Praveen Kumar gave some respectability to the Indian total with their half-centuries, even though India were 27/5 at one stage. Australia is currently leading the seven-match series 3-2.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first. The Indian batsmen could not face the sharp bowling of Mitchell Johnson and Doug Bollinger and slumped to 27/5 in 9 overs. Skipper Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja added 48 runs for the sixth wicket. Dhoni was wrongly adjudged LBW, when he was on 24. Harbhajan lasted only two balls after Dhoni's departure.

Jadeja and Praveen Kumar added 74 runs for the eighth wicket, which helped India to cross 15-mark. Jadeja made 57, while Praveen Kumar remained unbeaten on 54 - his maiden fifty. India bowled out for 170 in 48 overs.

For Australia, Doug Bollinger took 5 wickets - his first five-wicket haul. Johnson took 3 wickets. Shane Watson claimed the last two wickets.
