HK Dua and Dr. Ashok Ganguly nominated to Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: Breaking News! President Dr. Pratibha Patil nominated Senior Journalist HK Dua and former Chairman of the Hindustan Lever Limited Dr. Ashok Sekhar Ganguly to the Rajya Sabha. They will replace Film Actor Hema Malini and Journalist Chandan Mitra, whose term has come to an end.

HK Dua has over 15 years of fearless journalism career with several leading national dailies in India. He worked with Hindustan Times, The Indian Express and The Times of India. He also served as the Media Advisor to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

HK Dua was India’s Ambassador to Denmark and now working as the Editor of The Tribune. He took the oath in Rajya Sabha today. Other eminent personalities Lyricist and Poet Javed Akhtar, Prof CNR Rao and former ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair are also being nominated to Rajya Sabha.

Ashok Ganguly was a former Chairman of the Hindustan Lever Limited. He is also in the panel of Prime Minister’s Council for Trade and Industry.
