Indian Batsmen collapse in Guwahati ODI, Dhoni & Jadeja hold the Fort

Guwahati: Breaking News! In a shocking batting collapse, Indian batsmen almost handed over the match and the series to Australia in the 6th ODI at Guwahati. All Indian top order batsmen went back to the pavilion with just 27 runs on the board. Skipper MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja are still holding the fort and trying their best to take the Indian total to a respectable position.

Earlier, India won a rare toss, but Dhoni decided to bat on a juicy wicket, which was affected by the morning dew. Australian bowlers took advantage of the conditions and destroyed the great Indian batting line-up.

Not-so-fully fit Mitchell Johnson claimed the wickets of Sehwag and Gambhir in the very first over of the innings. Sehwag made 6 with a six. Gambhir was out for a duck. They both were clean-bowled by Johnson. Sachin Tendulkar made just 10, while Yuvraj Singh was clean-bowled for 6. Suresh Raina could not open his account.

India lost 5 wickets with just 27 runs on board. Johnson took 3 wickets, while Bollinger took 2 wickets. Dhoni and Jadeja have now added 24 runs for the 6th wicket. India were 51/5 in 20.2 overs, when reports last came in. If India lose this match, Australia will take an unassailable 4-2 lead in the seven-match series.
