Karnataka BJP MLAs resign, demand change in Leadership

Bangalore: Breaking News! The political crisis in Karnataka deepened further, as unconfirmed number of BJP MLAs resigned, demanding the removal of Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and a change in leadership. The rebel MLAs demanded that Janardhan Reddy be made Karnataka CM. The latest development took place around midnight.

According to some TV Channels, at least 35-40 MLAs have extended their support to the Reddy Brothers and resigned en masse. However, some other sources put the figure at 15-20. MLA BP Harish has confirmed that they want Tourism Minister G. Janardhan Reddy as their Chief Minister.

Despite the Central intervention, the Bellary Brothers K. Karunakara Reddy and G. Janardhana Reddy had refued to meet Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa to end the impasse. The BJP leadership may take some tough decisions today, sources said.

Resign from what? Resigned MLA post, or resigned from BJP?

Useless MLAs have been purchased by Reddys. Let them all commit suicide instead of resigning. They are a disgrace to their party, the state and democracy.
