Karnataka Crisis over, as Yeddyurappa and Reddy Brothers go for patch-up

New Delhi: Breaking News! The political crisis in Karnataka is over. It was announced by senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj at her residence a short while ago. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and rebel Reddy brothers - G. Janardhana Reddy and G. Karunakara Reddy met at Sushma Swaraj's residence to resolve their differences.

Yeddyurappa said that the crisis is over now and he and others would make sure that such a situation does not occur in future. Tourism Minister G. Janardhana Reddy, who led the dissidents, said that they would work together in the larger interest of the party.

Senior BJP leaders M Venkiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley and Anant Kumar were present at the meeting. Sushma Swaraj told the reporters that all misunderstandings have been resolved. A coordination committee will be formed to consider the demands of Reddy brothers. BS Yeddyurappa, Sadanand Gowda, Anant Kumar and G. Janardhana Reddy will be in the committee.

Rural Development Minister Shobha Karandlaje and Yeddyurappa's Principal Secretary V.P. Baligar were removed from their respective posts to appease the Reddy brothers. However, the BJP High Command did not accept their demand for Yeddyurappa's removal.
