Liberhan Report tabled in Parliament, Debate in Lok Sabha on Thursday

New Delhi: Breaking News! A day after the Opposition BJP stalled the Parliament over the leakage of Liberhan Commission report to the media, the government tabled the report in Parliament at 12 PM. Union Home Minister P Chidambaram tabled the English version of the report in Lok Sabha and it will be put in Rajya Sabha at 2 PM.

The Liberhan Commission, which probed into the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992, took 17 years to complete the probe. The government also tabled the Action Taken Report (ATR) along with the Liberhan Report. The Lok Sabha will debate the report on Thursday.

There was a huge uproar, as the Indian Express published a portion of the report, saying former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha LK Advani and former BJP President Murli Manohar Joshi were indicted for the demolition of Babri Masjid. Vajpayee's name in the report upset many within and outside the BJP.
