Major Nidal Malik Hasan kills 12, injures 31 at Fort Hood Army Post in Texas

Killeen, Texas: Breaking News! Major Nidal Malik Hasan, an Arab-American officer, went on a shooting rampage, killing at least 12 people and injuring 31 people at the Fort Hood Army Post in Texas. He is said to be psychiatrist. Nidal Hasan opened fire with two handguns. He was later captured in a critical condition.

After the rampage, Nidal was shot four times by the security guards. He is in a critical condition and has been put on a ventilator. The 39-year-old Maj Hasan took his fellow soldiers by surprise with this sudden shooting spree. Many of them did not even get a chance to react.

The army personnel, who were killed in the shooting, were having medical check-ups before being deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. Fort Hood Army Post is considered as the largest US military installation in the world.

Maj Nidal Hasan, who was born in Virginia, is a Muslim with Palestinian roots. According to his former colleagues, he was vocal critic of the US foreign policy and always wanted the Muslims to rise against the Americans.
