Manmohan Singh says NO to redrawing Borders in Kashmir

Washingon: Breaking News! Indian Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh made it clear that there is no question of redrawing of border line that separates Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He said this in an interview to the Editor of Newsweek International, Fareed Zakaria, in CNN’s Global Public Square (GPS) program, during his visit to Washington.

Mr. Singh reiterated India's stand that there is no need to elaborate the so-called Kashmir issue in future. "Both Pakistan and India will have to work on this to promote peace and encourage trade and people-to-people interaction in the region", he said.

During his nearly 45 minute long interview with Mr. Zakaria, Dr. Singh reflected on various issues including 26/11 Mumbai attacks, finalisation of India-USA Civil Nuclear cooperation deal that has been on the negotiation table for more than 4 years.
