Mumbaikars unite at Gateway of India to pay homage to 26/11 Victims
Mumbai: Breaking News! Thousands of Mumbaikars gathered at the Gateway of India tonight to pay homage to the victims of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, who lost their lives in the mayhem a year ago. People remembered the heroes by lighting candles outside the Gateway of India, Trident-Oberoi and at the Taj Hotel.

ars chanted slogans of peace and harmony and at the same wanted Ajmal Amir Kasab to be hanged immediately. They took the resolve not to forget 26/11 and wipe out terrorism from the country. Special prayers were organised in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and many other parts of the country.The Mumbai Police exhibited its might by parading the elite 'Force One' commandos, who will guard Mumbai going forward. The police commandos showed off new weapons and armoured vehicles.
Earlier, the Parliament paid a tribute to the victims of 26/11, by observing a two-minute silence. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed resolutions to stand united and fight against terrorism with a great resolve. The Indian Cricket Team, which is playing against Sri Lanka in Kanpur, also paid a tribute to the victims and martyrs of 26/11.
