No Foreign Media Coverage on Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh
New Delhi: The Centre has refused to allow foreign media to cover spiritual leader Dalai Lama’s visit to Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh on November 8. The government has cancelled its earlier permission to four foreign journalists to cover the much-hyped visit in Arunachal Pradesh, which has soured the relations between India and China.

ding to the New Delhi-based Foreign Correspondents' Club, only Indian journalists will be allowed to cover Dalai Lama's visit to Arunachal Pradesh.China is strongly opposed to Dalai Lama's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, accusing him of creating trouble in Tibet region. Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Dorjee Khandu has already decided to welcome Dalai Lama as a state guest.
Dalai Lama will arrive in Tawang on November 8 by a special helicopter from Guwahati. He will leave for Bomdilla in neighboring West Kameng district on November 13. Dalai Lama will be accompanied by 10 other persons.
