PMO asks report on death of Man during PM's PGIMER Visit
New Delhi: The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has sought a detailed report on the death of a kidney patient during Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's visit to Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) at Chandigarh. The man reportedly died, as his ambulance was delayed to proceed due to PM's security measures.
The 32-year-old Sumit Prakash Verma died, as the vehicle carrying him could not enter the emergency area of the PGIMER immediately due to security concerns. The PM was on a visit to PGIMER at that time. His family members have alleged that only the security measures were responsible for Sumit's death.
Sumit Verma was suffering from a major kidney problem and breathing complications. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Overzealesness of Security Officials following the letter of rules regarding PM security rather than their spirit. Why could the Ambulance be sent in after checks?? The PM and other VVIPs should not plan visits to places of such nature i.e Emergency Service providers and cause deaths. In any other country the PM would have been ashamed and resigned.. but not in India..some ASI/Constable will be sacked for following rules which doesn't allow him any discretion.
Manmohan Singh is PM of shameless India .Who bothers if aam aadmi dies.He landed in place of his birth to be greeted by massive strike supported by AKALI DAL. By the way already a doctorate, whats the fun of having another doctorate (Hon. Caus.)What made Manmohan to visit PGI .Time for PM to own responsibility for death of a man there .
This is really a shame. The security personnels who are responsible for his death should be sentence for life imprisonement for taking away a innocent man's life. And the family n the children should be taken care of through out their life because of the silly mistake done by the PM n his personnel.
