Raj Thackeray asks MNS MLAs to express regret in Maha Assembly
Mumbai: Breaking News! Under criticism from several quarters, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has asked his MLAs to express regret inside the Maharashtra Assembly for their behaviour, which broke the dignity of the house. However, the MLAs won't apologise for assaulting Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi.
The MNS MLAs had abused and assaulted Abu Azmi inside the assembly on Monday, after he defied Raj Thackeray's gag order and took oath in Hindi instead of Marathi. That created a huge uproar inside the Assembly and raised a national debate on the behaviour shown by MNS MLAs.
The Maharashtra Assembly had on Monday passed a privilege motion, suspending four MNS MLAs from the Assembly for 4 years. The MLAs, who were suspended are Ram Kadam, Sishir Shinde, Vasant Gite, Ramesh Wanjale.
