Sachin Tendulkar hits 45th ODI Hundred, 9th against Australia

Hyderabad: Breaking News! Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who completed 17,000 runs in ODI cricket, has hit his 45th ODI hundred. While India seems to be on a losing wicket against Australia in the 5th ODI in Hyderabad, Sachin still holds the forte and trying his best to help India register an improbable victory today.

Sachin also completed 6,000 runs on Indian soil. Sachin's century was his 9th against Australia. He has so far played 435 ODIs and has hit 91 fifties besides 45 hundreds. Sachin scored the century in 81 balls - his second fastest century.

Chasing a victory target of 351, India started well, as Sachin and Sehwag added 66 for the first wicket in 8.5 overs. Sehwag was out for 38. Gambhir, Yuvraj and Dhoni failed with the bat. India were 200/4 in 29.5 overs, when reports last came in. Sachin Tendulkar was batting on 111 off 88 balls. Raina was batting on 22.
