Two killed, 30 injured, as Blasts rock Sonitpur District in Assam

Guwahati: Breaking News! At least two people were killed and over 30 others injured, when some unidentified triggered two blasts in Assam’s Sonitpur district. On the first occasion, the assailants lobbed a grenade at a crowded rural market at Gorubandha in Missamari, killing two people on the spot.

The second attack took place near a bank at Rakhasmari, when a group of youths hurled a grenade, injuring two people.

The Assam Police suspected the role of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in both blasts. No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts.
