Cuttack: Breaking News! While the IPL fever has gripped the entire cricket crazy nation, people in Orissa do not seem to be excited about that. There is a poor response to tickets for IPL matches to be played in Cuttack. Â Cuttack was a surprising inclusion to the IPL venues, after Hyderabad and Vizag failed to find favour because of the Telangana unrest. All IPL matches were shifted from Andhra Pradesh. Â The sale of tickets for the IPL matches at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, began yesterday. While the tickets will be on sale in Cuttack till March 18, they were sold in Bhubaneswar just for one day. Â Out of the 42,000 tickets, only 6,000 tickets were sold on Saturday. The authorities hoped for a better show on Sunday. Cuttack will host two IPL matches - Deccan Chargers vs Kings XI Punjab (March 19) and Deccan Chargers vs Delhi Daredevils (March 21). |
