Nagpur: Breaking News! In a shocking development, Indian skipper MS Dhoni has been banned for 2 ODIs for slow over rate in Nagpur ODI. The decision was taken by match referee Jeff Crowe. Dhoni won't be able to play in the next two ODIs in Cuttack and Kolkata.
The second ODI in Nagpur ended 45 minutes after the scheduled finish time because of the frequent discussions between the Indian players. The match referee held skipper Dhoni responsible for the "intentional" delay. Since Dhoni won't be playing in the next 2 ODIs, Gautam Gambhir or Virender Sehwag may act as the stand-by skipper. Dhoni will be available for the final ODI in Delhi. |
