Cricket Desk: The Deccan Chargers turned out to be the worst team of the IPL 5, as it won the fifth match in a row and remained winless in the tournament so far. The Kolkata Knight Riders beat the Chargers by 5 wickets at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.

 

Earlier, Kolkata won the toss and elected to field first. They restricted Deccan Chargers to 126/7 in 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan was the top scorer with 50, while Parthiv Patel made 23. Sunil Narine and Parthiv Patel will take two wickets each.

 

Kolkata Knight Riders reached 127/5 in 19 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. Gautam Gambhir (30), Kallis (23) and Manoj Tiway (30*) were the top contributors. Dale Steyn took two wickets. Brett Lee was declared 'Man of the Match' for his economical bowling. He conceded just 15 runs in 4 overs and took a wicket.
