Cricket Desk: The Mumbai Indians registered a five-wicket victory over the Deccan Chargers to gain crucial points in the IPL 5. It was a low-scoring game, which Mumbai won with eleven balls to spare.

Mumbai won the toss and elected to field first. Harbhajan's decision came right this time, as the Deccan Chargers bowled out for 100 in 18.4 overs. Shikhar Dhawan (29) and JP Duminy (25) were the notable contributors. Malinga took four wickets, while Harbhajan Singh and James Franklin took two wickets each.

Chasing a victory target of 101, Mumbai had a tough time, as they too lost wickets at regular intervals. However, the target was low and they achieved it in 18.1 overs by losing five wickets.

For Mumbai, Rohit Sharma scored 42. Dale Steyn bagged two wickets. Steyn was declared 'Man of the Match'. It was Deccan's sixth loss in 8 games. They won one, while one was abandoned due to rain. Mumbai Indians registered their fifth victory in 9 matches.

Mumbai Indians now moved up to third position in the points table. They have 10 points from 9 matches. Delhi Daredevils are on the top with 14 points, while KKR are second with 11 points.
