Cricket Desk: Even though Sourav Ganguly was dropped from the team, that did not change the fortune of Pune Warriors India, as they suffered a humiliating defeat against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

With this crushing victory, the RCB moved to the third spot in the IPL 5 points table, pushing the Mumbai Indians to the fourth spot. Delhi Daredevils are on the top, while the KKR are placed second.

The match between RCB and Pune Warriors was delayed due to heavy rain. However, no overs were deducted after the play resumed. Royal Challengers posted 173/3 in 20 overs.

Chris Gayle led from the front, as he made 57 off 31 balls with 3 boundaries and 6 sixes. Dilshan scored 53. Saurabh Tiwary remained unbeaten on 36.

Chasing a victory of 174, Pune Warriors lost wickets at regular intervals and finished at 138/9 in 20 overs. Robin Uthappa made 38, while Anustup Majumdar scored 31. Steven Smith remained unbeaten on 24.

Vinay Kumar took three wickets, while Zaheer Khan and Muralitharan took two wickets each. Gayle yet again bagged the 'Man of the Match' award.
