Cricket Desk: The BCCI has taken a big step forward by inviting the Sialkot Stallions to play in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in India to be held later this year.
Â
This is the first time since 26/11 any Pakistani team would play in India. The Pakistani cricketers had taken part in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). But they were barred in the next editions after 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.
Â
The Champions League Twenty20 was started in 2009 with top T20 teams across the world. The PCB and cricket experts in both countries have welcomed the BCCI's move and expressed hope that cricket ties between both countries would resume soon.
