Cricket Desk: The Chennai Super Kings scored an emphatic victory over the leaders Delhi Daredevils to brighten their hopes of making it to the semifinals. They are placed fourth in the IPL 5 points table now.

 

Chennai won the toss and elected to field first. The Delhi Dardevils failed with the bat and managed to post just 114/5 in 20 overs. Yogesh Nagar was the top scorer with unbeaten 43, while Venugopal Rao made 27. Ben Hilfenhaus took three wickets.

 

Chasing a victory target of 115, Chennai hardly experienced any difficulties and reached the target in just 15.2 overs by losing a single wicket. Mike Hussey scored 38, while Murali Vijay remained unbeaten on 48. Raina remained not out on 28. Hilfenhaus was declared 'Man of the Match'.

 

Delhi Daredevils are leading the IPL 5 points table with 18 points from 13 matches. Kolkata Knight Riders are placed second with 17 points from 13 matches. Mumbai Indians have 16 points from 13 matches.

 

The Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have 15 points each. However, RCB have played 13 matches, while CSK have played 14 matches so far.
