Cricket Desk: Ajit Chandila of Rajasthan Royals takes a hat-trick, as the Pune Warriors suffered their 8th consecutive loss in IPL 5. The Royals registered a much-needed victory to keep their semifinals hopes alive.

 

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 170/4 in 20 overs. Dravid (21), Rahane (61) and Shane Watson (58) were the top scorers. Ashish Nehra took three wickets.

 

The Pune Warriors failed to live up to the expectations yet again and finished at 125/9 in 20 overs. Steven Smith (37), Callum Ferguson (23) and Angelo Mathews (23) were the top scorers.

 

'Man of the Match' Ajit Chandila, who was playing just his second match of the IPL 5, took four wickets, including a hat-trick. He claimed the wickets of Jesse Ryder, Sourav Ganguly and Robin Uthappa in three consecutive balls in two overs. Shane Watson and Johan Botha took two wickets each.
