News Desk: In a new twist in the IPL molestation case, the Australian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Luke Pomersbach has reportedly confessed to his crime before police.
Luke reportedly said that he had touched the woman at the five-star hotel in Delhi and he was under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place.
Luke had been denying the charges against him in media. Even before court he had said that he was innocent. He had claimed that that the US national woman was lying.
However, the recent revelation will put him in trouble. He can deny his statement in the court later.
His confession came after police identified another RCB player KP Appanna on the CCTV footage in the molestation case. He was allegedly seen accompanying Luke to the room of the woman. He is likely to be questioned by police.
Police also said that victim's claim might be right that the members of the RCB team had approached the victim to withdraw the complaint.
Luke was arrested on last Friday after the victim, Zohal Hamid, alleged that the cricketer had molested her and beat up her fiance Sahil Peerzada. Even Sahil had to undergo a surgery.
Luke was on Saturday granted bail, but the court asked him to surrender his passport imposing restriction on his travel outside India.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Commission for Women is expected to send a notice to the RCB team owner Siddarth Mallya for his offensive tweets on the micro-blogging site slamming the victim.
