Nagpur: After India's humiliating innings defeat in the first test match against South Africa in Nagpur, the BCCI selectors have decided to take a tough stand and made three changes to the squad for the second test match to be played in Kolkata on February 14. The selectors dropped Wriddhiman Saha, Sudeep Tyagi and Abhimanu Mithun from the 15-member squad. Ironically, Tyagi and Mithun did not even get a chance to play in the first test. Pacer S Sreesanth, wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik and middle order batsman Suresh Raina have been included in the 15-member test team. India is facing a daunting task in this series due to the absence of Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman, who are out of the team because of injury. Laxman is expected to be fit for the second test, while Rohit Sharma is out of the series due to injury. Â Team India: MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Murali Vijay, S Badrinath, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, S Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra and Pragyan Ojha. |
