Editor's Desk: The dormant Congress Party got a new lease of life in Odisha, thanks to the massive rally organised against the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government in Bhubaneswar today, but that comes at a price - they lost the face as a responsible party.

Today's violence showed the Congress activists beating a lady constable, Pramila Padhi on the streets with punches, kicks and injuring many cops, including the Nayapalli IIC, Anup Kanungo.

The nation was shocked to see the goons going on a rampage, beating the policemen and journalists, damaging the media vehicles, and most importantly beating up an unarmed lady constable black and blue. Everything started after Jagdish Tytler's slogan "Ek Dhakka Aur Do, .........................". He was definitely inspired by Sadhvi Ritambara and Uma Bharti.

The Congress may see a revival out of this mess and chaotic situation it created on the streets of Bhubaneswar, but certainly they lost the trust of the people in a state, which waited for long to see a government, which would give them a better life with peace and dignity.
