Barobax Corporation, an Iranian music band has served legal notice to Pritam, Eros International Media, Illuminati Films Private Ltd and Super Cassettes Ltd for copyright infringement.  The music band has claimed that the prelude (first stanza) of the song ‘Pyaar Ki Pungi’ has been completely copied from one of their composed songs.  According to the legal notice issued by law firm Vidhii Partners, the band had produced and released an album titled 'Soosan Khanoom' on January 16, 2010 which was a super duper hit. "We demand the music director, producers and directors to refrain from releasing the song in the movie or use it to promote the movie. Failing to do so, the band shall be compelled to initiate proceedings to seek a restraining order and necessary compensation," the notice states.  Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Agent Vinod’ is scheduled to be released on 23rd March. |
