Entertainment Desk: Aamir Khan’s ‘Satyamev Jayate’, the most discussed and awaited TV talk show is all set to kick off on Sunday. It will be telecast at 11 am on every Sunday starting 6th May 2012. Khan is entering the small screen world through this serial.

Aamir Khan will be seen hosting ‘Satyamev Jayate’, his TV debut that aims to tell about burning social issues and features the stories of real people. There are 16 numbers of episodes of this serial.

‘Satyamev Jayate’ is the first show ever in the history of Indian Television to be aired simultaneously on a private channel Star Plus and a national channel Doordarshan. It will be aired in over 8 languages across Star TV network channels including Star Plus, STAR Pravah, STAR Jalsha, STAR Utsav, Asianet and STAR Vijay along with Doordarshan.  This is also for the first time in the history of Indian television that a show will be telecast simultaneously on 9 channels including DD.

While the producers were interested to show it in the prime time, Aamir Khan insisted to telecast it on Sunday mornings. He was of the opinion that earlier popular TV shows Mahabharata and Ramayana were aired on Sunday mornings, which were highly successful and created a different trend.

He was reported saying, "I wanted to telecast my show on Sunday morning. I want each family to watch the show and connect with it”.

In a time when TV producers are torturing the audience with lots of boring concept based serials for only and only TRP, it is quiet relieving to listen that Aamir says "I don't understand TRPs and GRPs. I have no idea how to calculate it! I don't care about it. It is important to reach out to the Indian audiences” for his serial.
