Entertainment Desk: Karishma Kapoor’s comeback film “Dangerous Ishhq” has in fact disappointed her fans who were Lolo's fans and expecting a memorable return of this talented actor.
Of course Karishma has left no stone unturned to do justice to her characters in the Past Life Regression movie but due to certain other shortcomings she became helpless.
Performance-wise all the actors have tried their best and many of them have done it very well excluding only a few, but the film lacks otherwise.
The plot of the film takes the audience to the past lives of the pivotal character Sanjana (Karishma Kapoor). This is a difficult subject to convey. Of course director Vikram Bhatt is not a green horn to this arena. But perhaps the screen play (especially in the second half) could not provide sufficient input for an outstanding output.
Cinematography of “Dangerous Ishhq” is excellent. The D.O.P seems to be perfectly played with different lenses and steady cam as well as jimmy zip to come up with some beautiful shots.
It is a 3D technology sported movie, but the magic of this high-tech has been missed out except in a few shots.
The story of the film revolves around sanjana’s character who has been repeatedly estranged from her love since almost five centuries.
To fulfill the need of the script the character is visualizing some strange and horrible experience of her past lives. Sanjana sees that she and her boyfriend Rohan had been lovers in all the eras and were also separated in their previous births due to some evil men. Sanjana’s past life also includes the 1947 Partition of India, the Mughal era in 1668 and the 16th century in Rajasthan.
The film has missed to explore talent and abilities of Karishma. Screen-play of the film could be lot better to make the characters more convincing which has been of course missed. Jimmy Shergill, Arya Babbar and Ravi Kishan have performed their part quiet well, while Rajniesh Duggall (Rohan) is not seems to be proficient at acting.
Himesh Reshammiya’s music has not turned out to be a work to be remembered except one song 'Tu Hi Rab Tu Hi Dua'. In nutshell the film is not a satisfactory effort as we were also expecting a lot from Vikram Bhatt.
Our rating for “Dangerous Ishhq” is 2 stars out of 5.
