Entertainment Desk: Gopi Bahu aka Jiaa Manek of the TV soap, 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya', which is aired on Star Pus, has been replaced from the serial. She has joined a dance reality show on another channel.


Jiaa has earned huge popularity for her character Gopi Bahu in the serial. The buzz is that she was asked to leave the soap by Star Plus due to her unprofessional behaviour.


The TV actress decided to join the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5 without taking permission from the channel before committing her time as a participant in the show. The matter was taken to the Association of Motion Pictures & TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP) and then to the Cine & TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA).


Members of CINTAA advised Jiaa to leave the reality show as she has signed contract with the production house. As per the agreement, she could not do any other show while doing ‘Saathiya…’.


Star Plus argued that she has gained popularity due to their soap and now a rival channel is using her brand and image. However, Jiaa did not leave the reality show. The channel finally decided to replace her "unprofessional conduct and breach of contract". Actor Debolina Paul has replaced Jiaa for the character 'Gopi Bahu'.
