The 'Kasoor' Girl Lisa Ray is trying to clean up the world of the dreaded disease cancer after battling with the multiple myeloma, an incurable cancer of white blood cells.

Her fans got shocked when news aired about her suffering from cancer. The beautiful actress, who always marked her dominating presence in the world of glamour, ramp and onscreen, now shares her personal life being associated with the centre.

Probably cancer has changed her whole life. Recalling the moments she went through during the phase, she said that Cancer Cure is not about healing the body; it is about healing the mind.

As a patient, she went through fear and isolation during that phase of life. But as a human being, it is her duty to share her story and feelings the way she conquered the disease.

In reel life, celebrities may be performing many pathetic roles, but this time Lisa Ray has gone ahead of many roles in real life, first being victim of cancer and second, after her recovery. She said, attitude matters more to handle the depression and deadly illness.

Lisa seems so sympathetic to the cancer survivors saying that she has learnt a lot of things from the disease to fight and stand up for cancer patients.

The Canadian actress and former fashion model Lisa Ray was born in Toronto to an Indian father and a Polish mother. Now she looks fresh and confident to live a normal and professional life in the coming days.
