Cricket Desk: The 2012 IPL Season will get underway in Chennai on April 4. The nine-team T20 tournament will conclude on May 27. In total, 72 matches will be played over the 54 days. Â The IPL 2012 will be played at 12 venues - New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Dharamsala, Cuttack, Vizag, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mohali. In case Hyderabad is unable to host a few matches, Cuttack will get a chance. Â The Final will be held in Chennai on May 27. The play-offs would be hosted by Bangalore and Chennai. Kochi Tuskers Kerala is not part of IPL 2012, as it was terminated by the BCCI.
