NewsRoom: Breaking News! Losing weight seems like a passion for everyone these days. As Internet is a problem solving weapon, it also helps people keep weight off. The web can work tremendously what others weight losing methods fail to do, claims a new research.

The new study conducted over two and half years on 1,600 overweight participants found that people, who are browsing internet daily are going through weight loss. The researchers stated that logging on to a website on regular basis helps people keep the pounds off.

For the experiment, an interactive weight management website was developed. Though, it was not quite effective as human-to-human interaction method, but it was ahead of all the methods of a weight loss program.

The researchers found that about 350 people lost enough weight reaching at an average of 19 lb. during the first six months. By the end of the study, people who were logging on to the website regularly reduced weight completely.

The study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research says that when a person finds a community online, feels less hungry, develops his anxiety and engages himself in chatting or website.
