Breaking News! In a shocking revelation, a new study found that obesity is at its highest level among the Delhi students. According to the study, at least 32.6% students studying in private are obese. Â The study was conducted by the Diabetes Foundation of India and National Diabetes, Obesity and Cholesterol Foundation (N-DOC). Obesity rate is 9.6% among the government school students. Â The survey was held in many Indian urban cities, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Jaipur. However, Delhi broke all records. The situation in Delhi is quite alarming and the onus now lies on parents and school authorities. Â The students suffering from Obesity are at the risk of developing diabetes at a later stage. In the last three years, obesity among schoolchildren has increased from 9.8% to 11.7%. Â The high rate of Obesity has been attributed to irregular eating habits and imbalanced diet.
