India, UNIDO join hands on $40 Million Medical Waste Disposal |

New Delhi: Breaking News! In a significant development, India and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) have decided join hands to implement a $40 million mega project for the disposal of hazardous medical waste.
 India aims to improve its overall healthcare system and it is seen as a major step towards achieving the goal. A unique disposal mechanism is the need of the hour, agree both India and UNIDO.  The medical waste disposal project was signed between UNIDO and the Ministry of Environment and Forests. It would be implemented in Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa and Punjab. M.S. Ramaiah Medical College (Bangalore) will be acting as the national implementation body. |
