Breaking News! The special Central Bureau of India (CBI) court issued the fresh summons to top executives of Essar and Loop Telecom in the 2G spectrum allocation case after they failed to appear before the court on Friday.

The court has asked Essar Promoter Director Anshuman Ruia, Essar Vice Chairman Ravi Ruia, Loop Telecom's Kiran Khaitan and IP Khaitan to appear before the court on February 22 after their lawyers said that their clients have not received the summons from the court.

Earlier, the Special CBI judge OP Saini had summoned top five executives Anshuman Ruia, Ravi Ruia, Essar Group Director (Strategy & Planning) Vikas Saraf, Kiran Khaitan and IP Khaitan in December last year.

However, senior advocate Siddharth Luthra appearing for Vikash Saraf said that the summon notice has not been received by his client.

All the five executives have been charged under Indian Penal Code Sections 420 and 120(b), for allegedly cheating and criminal conspiracy in the 2G scam.
