Breaking News! The CBI has claimed to have cracked the Shehla Masood murder case with the arrest of architect Zayeda Pervez in Bhopal. Shehla, who was a RTI activist, was murdered in August 2011.

 

Shehla Masood was also the Madhya Pradesh chapter head of India Against Corruption. She was shot dead inside her car outside her residence in Koh-e-Fiza area.

 

According to the CBI, Zayeda Pervez suspected Shehla to have an affair with her husband. That was the reason behind the jealousy and subsequent murder.

 

Earlier, the CBI probed the political angle in this case, as Masood was reportedly threatened by BJP leaders over her RTI applications. However, later, the murder turned out to be fallout of personal enmity.
