News Desk: The Chhattisgarh hostage crisis involving Sukma Collector Alex Paul Menon has taken an interesting turn, as the Maoists have sought the release of 8 prisoners and halting of Operation Green Hunt in Bastar region.

The Maoists have set a deadline of April 25 for the government to accede to their demands to secure the release of the District Collector.

Earlier, Alex Paul Menon's wife Asha has appealed to the Maoists to release her husband immediately, saying he is an asthmatic patient and just have two doses of medicines.
