New Delhi: Samajwadi Party leader Brij Bhushan Tiwari, who was recently re-elected to the Rajya Sabha, died in the national capital on Wednesday morning following a massive heart attack.


Tiwari was 71. He had taken oath as the Rajya Sabha MP on Tuesday after being elected for the second term.


The MP suffered a massive heart attack on Wednesday morning. He was rushed to a city hospital where he was declared brought dead.


Following the report, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day today to pay homage to the sitting member.
