Ahmedabad: Zakia Jafri, the widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, who was killed in the Gulbarg massacre, was finally given the Supreme Court-appointed SIT report on Monday.

A metropolitan court in Ahmedabad handed over the final copy of the SIT report on the Gulbarg massacre to Zakia a month after the SIT gave Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi a clean chit. Zakia will also be given a copy of the amicus curiae report filed independently by Raju Ramachandran.

The SIT had sought a closure in the probe as no evidence was found against Modi in the case.

Ehsan Jafri was among 69 persons killed in the Gulbarg society carnage in 2002. Zakia in her petition had accused Modi and 57 others of being involved in the 2002 riots.
