Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told media that the meeting with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was positive, constructive and creative.



Addressing a press conference after meeting with Hillary, Mamata said that the meeting with the US Secretary of State was fruitful. World's two women powerful leaders had talks on several issues.


Mamata said, "We had talks on ties-up, education, IT and healthcare. She said that Mrs. Clinton appreciated the state government work in West Bengal.


The leaders discussed the port modernisation and its investment. Appreciating the state, Mrs. Clinton said that Kolkata could be the new IT hub in India, Mamata told the reporters.


Mamata said that the US wants to invest in West Bengal. Even to strengthen the ties between US and India, US wants to invest in Tollywood. However, the issues like the FDI in retail and Indo-Bangla Teesta Water Treaty, which were likely to be discussed, did not take place at the meeting.
